Emerging markets PE - Tech sector

Hi,

Currently a BB analyst in London moving over to a tech-focused PE Team after the summer.

While heavily interested in tech at the moment, I am looking to work in an emerging markets PE environment in the longer term (either South America, as I’m a native Spanish speaker or south/south east Asia).

Question is whether this will be possible with a tech focus at all of whether I should be looking to be switching to other verticals in the medium term? If so, which verticals would you see as particularly relevant?

Clearly a very broad question about very broad and different geographical areas, but grateful for any advice!
