Is golf the sport of business in Europe?

We all know that in the US business world it is very important to know how to play golf, as all executives play it and it can be useful to close deals. But do you think that it is the same in Europe? I feel like it is way less popular and considered for old people, with tennis more played and maybe people just go to sportive events in the sky boxes to network and talk about business in a more informal environment. Maybe golf is popular in the UK, but is it that important in continental Europe?
