ZeroHedge = Russian propaganda/disinformation outlet

ZeroHedge doesn't even try to hide that fact that a Russian disinformation website. To give you an example of their current headlines:

Russia Exposes British Lies On Skripal, But Trail Leads To US

Russia Claims It Captured Trump's "Nice And New And Smart" Missiles After Syrian Strike

Putin Warns Russian Students Living In Britain: "Come Home Immediately"

Your criticism is based on the false premise that Russia is bad still. The commies are no longer in charge there, only here.

Take ZeroHedge with a grain of salt, read into what they are saying and understand it's a point of perspective. Politically, they lean one way. The issue here though is that their market commentary is the bread and butter. That's what's 100% worth reading. The rest, just skim over it.

I will read Der Spigel, The Guardian, BBC, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, Al Jazera, the WSJ, NYT, IBD, Free Beacon, The Daily Caller, The Intercept, Seeking Alpha, and whatever relevant sources for a given job I'm working on (ex. working on something healthcare related means reading fiercepharma/fiercebiotech, working on something bitcoin related means reading coinbase, recode, etc.).

I like it when people say 'its the bread and butter', it always sounds like a good situation to be in, and delicious.

Lol anything not blindly critical of Russia is propaganda.

ZH is fun and has some good stuff, but it’s largely chicken little shit.

Also. Russia is not our enemy. The fact that the sheep in this country blindly believe everything the government and our worthless “news” puts out makes us just as blind as anyone we criticize.

ZH bring up some good data but jumps to pretty crazy conclusions with that data a lot of the time. It's gotten worse the last couple of year in my opinion. Not Russian propaganda, just nutty perma-bears.

"That was basically college for me, just ya know, fuckin' tourin' with Widespread Panic over the USA."

Agreed. You'd probably be depressed and out of cash if ZH was the only thing you read, but they provide the other side of the coin in market and political commentary and that does have some value.

ZH can be criticised for the massive libertarian/bearish bias, sure, but provides a different perspective the the vast majority of Western media fail to.

I guess you are one of those liberals who value ''diverse opinion'' nominally, but is offended by everything and considers any disagreements fruit of ''Russian disinformation''. Good luck with it. I'm glad Trump trashed your side.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

I'd describe ZH as fantastical, extreme contrarian. While I do like how they take their stand and nothing is off limits, they've been predicting the end of the world as we know it on a weekly basis for a few years.

I have a buddy that reads it exclusively and I tell him ZH is good in conjunction with a bunch of other sources. All ZH is rediculous.

I read ZeroHedge almost exclusively for news.

At first, the site is a complete eyesore with tons of ads, headlines that make it seem as if the world is perpetually on fire and user commentators that you would never in your life be associated with in the real-world.

But once you numb yourself to how generally offensive the website is and learn to filter out shitty op-eds, the pure facts delivered on matters of markets, politics and general news are the best I've found on the internet.

If I think a content piece may have too much spin on it, I'll run it over to BBC or other trusted new source. To make sure I don't fall off the deep-end, I watch Vice News in my evenings after work to balance it all out.
