I'm going to school at an ACC school after living out west and at first, I also thought that the girls were hotter. The more I think about it though, the more I'm thinking that it has to do with the fact that they are showing more skin due to the weather and the fact that girls are typically pretty friendly there. If you have a girl that is a 7/10 and is wearing jeans and a rain jacket versus the same 7/10 who is showing off some skin in daisy dukes, you'll naturally be more attracted to her in the second outfit.
Honestly though, I think a lot of this "XYZ city has the hottest girls ever" is just hype. On average, the typical girl is not that attractive and if you look at the overall population, the proportion of hot to not doesn't vary too much from the mean IMO unless you're taking a sample size that would skew this (i.e. an area of NYC/LA/Miami, etc. where models are more likely to hang out than the average jane).

I'm a fan of southern girls' attractiveness. There are a lot of girls who are extraordinarily hot. However, I think when you look at a region top to bottom, the Midwest and plain states have some of the overall best looking women in that that average woman is more likely to be good looking. I think the southern states have just some outlandishly hot women who give the area the reputation that it's typical. I don't think it's typical, I just think they have the hottest hot girls.
As someone who has lived in the Midwest and the South, the South has better looking women on average too, at least in the metro areas.

Can confirm. I have lived in the midwest half a decade(for college, think B1G football powerhouse), and the women are much more well put together and attractive than say east coast women.

I have a more legitimate theory on California, in short, attractive people move to LA in an attempt to make it in the movie industry, not all of them make it, but they plant their roots in the area, and marry one another producing attractive kids.
I went to school in the South, and the joke always was that the warmer weather, meant less clothing, which meant more time in the gym.

I went to a college for a year that had what was considered the best girls in the Midwest, lived in a city with hot girls from the South, and spent a few years in NYC. I've never actually lived in the South but will agree that the South does generate the hottest girls.

Southern girls don't burn their bras, fail to shave their legs, get short hair cuts etc.
NY does have the .01% type girls but realistically unless you are a billionaire or professional athlete you aren't going to have a shot at them.
"Girls" being the keyword. Once most southern girls become adults, they get fat. Hence, states like Kansas, Oklahoma, Michigan, etc. have some of the best looking "adult" women. Kansas and Michigan, from personal experience, are MILFtastic places.
