In the East, Florida has some great depth and Barkov has the 2-way game necessary for a more defensive playoff style hockey. In the West, however, you’ve got Dallas with its insane depth and defensively responsible play style, Colorado with the top heavy lines that pretty much out match anyone and would be scary if they cut down to 3 lines, Edmonton with a similar idea to Colorado and finally Vegas, who have the size on defence to take up space when the game slows down. Personally, I think it might be Dallas’ year, they’ve played extremely well, have ridiculous balance and solid goaltending, which may give them the edge in a series against a Colorado or Edmonton. Don’t forget Vegas has Stone stashed on LTIR and picked up Hanifin at the trade deadline. They’re a sleeper to repeat.

I think this is the year Edmonton finally gets it done. They’ve lost to the eventual champion the past 2 years now in Colorado and Vegas. Goaltending has been better this year and think the new coach has really improved their PK. They have best pper in league and ekholm and Bouchard quarterback an improved blue line. Biggest issue for them right now would be depth scoring. Kane has looked poor this year but at the end of the day if you have 97 and 29, you are going to score. I like them against Vegas and even Colorado, it’s LA with that 1-3-1 that worries me. I think either way they come out west and should get it done.

I think the west is the way better conference this year so whoever comes out will win the cup

Love the panthers out of the east, but think the west is wide open. Could be oilers, stars, or avs in my opinion. Personally hope it’s the oilers because they are just so fun to watch.
