Rate Yourselves out of 10

I've been noticing lots of posts here related to dating and attractiveness and I'd like to see how we evaluate ourselves in this regard. My pet theory is that we all overrate ourselves, largely because we've developed big egos from being successful from an early age. Please consider everything that goes into attractiveness, not just looks, and try to provide justification for it. I've seen dudes on here ask things like "Why am I not pulling? I'm good-looking and make a ton of money." "How tall am I? 5ft 6."

I'll start:

Physical:

Mom was a model and I seem to have gotten some of those facial genetics with nice eyes, a good jawline, and high cheekbones. I still get acne despite being 21 though. I stay in good shape with decent muscle mass (180 lbs at 13% bf). My biggest deficiency is that I'm only 5'11''. Tend not to have too much difficulty pulling when out. Also tend to get a decent amount of stares and eye contact from women (occasionally an obvious check-out)

Career:

Likely the best category for most of us. ER at an EB with about $150K total comp. Easily top 1% for my age (21). Hoping to exit to a Hedge Fund or pursue an MBA if I can't.

Personality and Non-Work interests:

The biggest issue here is that I'm very introverted and rarely initiate conversations. I can also be pretty disagreeable which can turn some people off. I have hobbies and interests but most are on the more boring side. I'm into politics, cars, philosophy, and film. Another issue here is that my politics are, broadly speaking, very unpopular with NYC women.

I would say looks and career are definite strengths and personality/non-work interests a weakness. I feel I could confidently say 8/10 with some definite room for improvement.

Welcome to WSO Off-Topic @goldmanballsachs.

OP, this isn't a fucking Hinge or Bumbl forum, so drop it.

And don't ask me to rate myself because that's the XX chromosome side's job to give the CSAT and Net Promoter Score if we're at her friend's wedding or office party, what have you. Gotta keep those KPI's up! And you can only do that if you grow up and stop thinking you're some PUA hot shot just because you work in finance. You're the kind of person that inspires songs like this:

Glad you have the self confidence to give yourself an 8/10, but if this post is an indication of your regular behavior behavior? It makes me give you a 3/10 at best.

That’s the problem for me with the self improvement side of the internet: it just feels off.  From shallow posts like this to the cult followings that people like Jordan Peterson and Andrew Tate have.

My theory is that socially well-adjusted people ask their friends or family for advice while the weirdos google “how 2 fuck bitchez” and that’s how this all starts

I'll admit to being a Peterson v1.0 fan, but will also admit to seeing him shift and not expressing/standing with the original message that actually was helpful. Agree about Tate. Until his current fiasco, never even heard of him. He simply has zero flexibility (mentally, socially, emotionally, spiritually) based on what I saw, and he got the bad attention he earned. I'll disagree a bit though about asking friends or family for advice because those people can be beyond fucked up themselves and point you down the wrong angle. Lest we forget the anecdote, psychiatrists are the most messed up people themselves usually.

To add to it, all those other people out there like Cardone, Graham Stephan, the cast of Shark Tank who proclaim to be financial gurus also just feel off. It just reeks of that whole premise that "A students become professors, B students go to work for C students and C students actually create the businesses".

PLEASE nobody comment lmao. There is literally no reason for any of us to rate ourselves. Although, I am personally giving myself a 10/10.

I’ll give it a solid 3-4 max. There is a reason I’m not on social media and chill on faceless WSO.

3/10. Short, went to a school and live in a city that everyone here shits on. But as you get older the paper qualifications matter less

Your job is not a strength. No girl gives a f about you doing ER at a Elite Boutique, besides $150k in NYC is an average comp

Unless women that you target work in finance,

1) They probably don’t know what ER is

2) They have never heard about your firm

You want to impress a girl with your career? Tell them you’re a doc, you founded a company that now employs 100 people, or you are an agent representing NBA or NFL players.
