Office Hookups: The Cardinal Rule

Do you shit where you eat?

Analysts are consistently pulling 80-100+ hour weeks. We often have to relocate from our home or college base into the unknown and dark world of a bullpen. In the early days of the analyst gig, you might not even care to go out to a bar to try your luck with the ladies. After all, is it really worth it when your associate makes your life even more miserable the next day with your inevitable hangover?

After being in close quarters for countless hours, sometimes you just cannot help but imagine what that "cute" (aka fat) analista looks like without her skirt on. Don't even pretend like an Excel spreadsheet can distract your wandering mind.

So, I come back to my original question. Do you attempt to sleep with a coworker when you both know how badly each of you needs a release?

Hell no. You will not be the Edmund Hillary of baggage-free office hookups. Let's face it. Florence Nightingale would not have been able keep things hygienic and still wank her Crimean War patients. Bill Clinton could have walked away with the dot com bull as the finishing line of his presidency, but what do history textbooks say now? This is your career, so learn the cardinal rule from Larry David and never, ever, shit where you eat.

Fast forward to 1:20:

Before I joined the work force I thought this sort of thing never happened, I was so wrong; heard of hook ups between co-workers of same rank, inter rank, married parties all kind of crap. It's just unavoidable.

Everyone knows it, keeps on happening though....

bwahahaha!

Anytime a ceo steps down from a company to spend more time w/his family I always wonder if it really means the board found out that he was banging someone in the company and is letting him leave graciously. I know that was the case at the last public company I worked for.
