Mac as part of a WFH setup

Is Mac in a WFH setup feasible? I’ve heard of software that allows Macs to use MS Office with windows functionality. Anyone looked into this / has experience?

It’s my first week on the desk, I’m buying a WFH setup. I’m planning to get a nice monitor, keyboard, and mouse. My bank doesn’t buy laptops for new analysts. I have a Macbook Pro. It’s a great computer and I’ve had it for a while, and I want to hook it up to my WFH setup.

Firm isn't providing a WFH laptop unfortunately.

Does this mean you don't have to WFH when not in the office?

Agree w/ Humongo_Banana_Man - trying to get both will cost you additional time. I'm pretty pro-Mac and initially fought against Windows, but conceded shortly into my career. I have the M2 chip Mac for my personal laptop, that's about it. Don't really use Excel or work-related stuff on the Mac (besides checking work emails and stuff), so I get by.

You'll make your life easier if you just concentrate your work-related things into one OS, pretty much always Windows. Trust me.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
