IB DESTROYED MY LIFE

I find myself at a crossroads and in need of your insights. I started in September as a BB A1, i was so excited that i finally achieved my dream but it's come at a significant personal cost.

The relentless work schedule, extending into weekends, has completely destroyed my personal life. A vivid example: my rank in League of Legends, once an Emerald, has dropped down to Silver. The limited time I manage to carve out for gaming is fuelled by stress-induced misplays, leading to a frustrating string of defeats. If this trend continues and I hit Bronze, I will start taking Xanax.

And i did not tell you yet the worst. I'm contemplating leaving IB, but there's a complex personal entanglement. My girlfriend's boyfriend has put me in a precarious position, threatening that if I don't finance their 3-day trip to Italy, he'll persuade my girlfriend to leave me. It feels like I'm trapped in a corner, professionally and personally.

Any guidance, especially from those who've navigated similar paths, would be immensely valuable.

Funniest

I was expecting to see how the extreme hours led to losing a girlfriend, developing health issues or signs of prematurely aging.  Instead, I read about how a drunk spends his Friday night.
