You're obviously not getting any attention because you're steaming your clothing, not ironing it. /s

No, I enjoy my team, don't work much more than 60 hours on the worst weeks, and have never had issues meeting potential significant others.

Put yourself out there, and if you don't get attention, either you're aiming too high, or there's something seriously wrong with your, looks, personality, and/or hygiene.  Personally, I'm doing all this with a personality that I think is middling on the best day, but I spend a lot of time at the gym, and floss religiously.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Makes a lot of sense. If you're a 5, then do one of two things: a) lower who you're batting for or b) become a 6-7 or even higher (personality, fitness, dressing, etc). Or both really

TBH, a 5 dating a 7 can work if the 5 has great personality.  Other mitigating factors like income or family money could come into play too.

Looks-wise I'm probably an age-adjusted 8. (I'm not 22 any more, but I people think I'm about a decade younger than I really am) The best relationship I had (have? where we are now is complicated) is/was with a 4 or 5 a dozen years younger than me.  The relationship isn't (wasn't?) about money, the chip-in for the rent was nice, but the earnings differential was somewhere between 3:1 and 4:1 and unlikely to close.  It also wasn't about the s*x after the first couple dates.  It was because we meshed really well and enjoyed being around each other so much.

No you dont! Its an illusion but a helpful one

You don't believe in free will? You can do anything you want right now. What is stopping you?

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee
