Cologne/perfume in the office?
Do you guys wear any cologne/perfume in the office? I’ve always thought no fragrances in professional settings. I’ve only used cologne going out in more casual settings.

I’m a girl, but most of the male analysts (& associates, etc) wear nice & understated cologne
cologne/perfume tier list anyone?
Tier1 for me is Hugo Boss perfume
Polo Black for me
Creed aventus all day
Royal Oud is were it's at. I wear it when I'm at home alone because I like it so much.
Yes just go easy on it (like... 1 spray)
Funny, I binge-read a lot about that stuff the last few days.
Just discovered this perfumery called Carrement Belle, ordered a trial package of their classic excerpts, sounds pretty good. Also am keeping Roja Parfums on my list for when I want something more expensive. Might get a 4711 Tosca for the gf, seems to be a classic.
Men and Women....
I’ve noticed only the black and/or gay dudes wear cologne. Some of the staff ought to wear it, or at least take a shower once in awhile.
This is a good one. I wear Mont Blanc Legend spirit and get compliments all the time on it.
As people post here, the amount of cologne is important but also what you’re wearing as well. Even if you do a small spritz of Dior Sauvage, it gives off a douchey nightclub vibe no matter where you use it. Something inoffensive is the key!
Acqua di Gio, Versace Pour Homme, YSL L’Homme & Bleu de Chanel are all easy ways to smell decent yet not attention grabbing in the office.
& of course, there are plenty of unique / more expensive options. As someone who blogs about fragrances for fun, it‘s a complete rabbit hole that goes as deep as you’d like it to.
Adding Prada L'homme to that list - literally the safest and most inoffensive office perfume!
Please no cologne....we are all in an open floor plan.
That said, the above colognes are good ones. just a splash please make 4 drops max.
Nothing spicy, single spritz in the air and walk through the mist, good to go. Just don't go full Persian night club owner.
It's a real art to smell, not just professionally but so that you get promoted and have the right to know what to do and how to do it. After all, there is a different psychosomatic technique for each work scenario. Clean, fresh chords (such as citrus or white flowers) are good for working in an open office without partitions.
A bit of cologne doesn’t kill as long as it does affect the person sitting next to you

8-10 sprays of pure, freshly extracted civet musk and you're good to go
