Calling All Poker Players
Some of my best nights during this quarantine have been spent burning cash in online poker. I'd like to continue this crippling habit, since quarantine is an unprecedented opportunity to develop habits.
Comment below if interested in WSO poker tonight.
Game would be tonight around 8 CT with at least a $25 buy-in. We all venmo a middle man the buy-in. No need to worry about anonymity, transactions on Venmo can be made private. Game would be done through PokerNow, super easy platform. You can cash out your $$$ whenever you want.

I’m playing poker in Vegas Dec. 9 - 14. Let’s gooooooo!!!!!
I thought online poker for real money was illegal? Or did the law change? And is this site safe?
Poker has long been legal. I am a frequent guest of such entertainments.
My America's Cardroom Tournament Schedule Today:
11:30am - $50K GTD PKO $22
12:00pm - $50K GTD $16.50
12:05pm - $100K GTD $33
1:30pm - $420K GTD Flight $55
2:00pm - $125K GTD $55
5:30pm - $100K GTD $22 Final Day
Its not illegal. I play on America's Cardroom. PokerStars is banned in the US.
We'll raincheck for maybe tomorrow and see if we can get more interest. The site is safe, it's all play money.
As far as legality, I don't know for sure but I know an abundance of people who do this very thing all the time (esp with quarantine going on) and none have issues.
$25 poker is illegal like jaywalking is illegal. Don’t be a pussy.
This is a great idea, I’m in for the next one
gotta pump those numbers up $1million buy in
.

See if you guys can do HomeGames for play money in the US on pokerstars? We play HomeGames here with friends all the time (for real money on site through pokerstars in Canada) God...I miss those days were online poker was legal for the US. If you want a cool story to read about how it all collapsed, search "Black Friday in the poker world". come to think of it, Actually happened on April 15th 2011. Crazy times man
Online poker is legal in the US (except Washington state). Some major sites:
Americas Cardroom (good) Carbon Poker (good) Ignition Bovada 888 (NJ) (and Delaware, Nevada) BlackChip PokerStars NJ PA BetOnline Intertops (sucks)
I think Americas Cardroom has the highest volume in the US.

Black Friday
Did the events of Black Friday make online poker illegal?
"In 2011, an estimated 2 million Americans played online poker for money on a regular basis. On Friday, April 15, 2011, The Justice Department eliminated most of this play when it shut down the three most trafficked poker sites (Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker, and the Cereus Network) with charges of money laundering and fraud. The US government contended that the companies had violated UIGEA, but the poker companies operated under the understanding that online poker wasn't illegal and therefore didn't constitute a violation of the act.
The Department of Justice not only seized control of the websites for the three companies, they also froze the assets in 76 bank accounts in 14 countries. Both civil and criminal charges were filed. In July, 2012, the U.S. government dismissed "with prejudice" the civil complaints, but not the criminal indictments. PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker settled without admitting wrongdoing. As part of the settlement, PokerStars bought Full Tilt Poker.
No, the events of Black Friday didn't make online poker illegal, but they had a chilling effect on the actual play. The industry still hasn't recovered, but there are reasons to be optimistic."

Game will start tonight @8 pm CT.
I can be the middleman as @AndyLouis" knows me outside WSO. Otherwise, we can get a certified user to do it.
I'm just curious, but what blinds are you going to do? How has this not even been mentioned - lol
Good catch, .25 small blind .50 big blind
Sorry fellas, gotta back out, something came up (Valorant beta lol). I would love to play another time though and looks like yall have enough heads for a good table. Please update the thread with the turnout, would like to know how it goes!

Daily limit of PMs has been reached, so all messages will now be posted here.
Shoot me $25 at "WSOPoker" (name:WheyOf Life) on Venmo. Transactions will be private (only you and I can see them) and winnings will be doled out at the end. We will be playing on PokerNow at 8 pm CT tonight. In the Venmo Transaction, make sure to put the username you plan on playing with in the description. Choose something slightly different from your WSO username (could be as simple as appending a number at the end) so that some troll can't click on the link and get in with your name. This way I'll know to accept you into the lobby when the time comes.
Keep an eye on this thread, I'll be sending out a link to the lobby around 7:50 pm CT.
Thank you for organizing. Unfortunately can’t make it tonight. Good luck to everyone and hope to join the next one
All good, unless the rest of you really want to play tonight let's go ahead and raincheck for another night. Sometime next week most likely. I'll tag you all a few days from now and we'll see if a week from now-ish works.
weekend maybe. I’m free whenever
I'm down to play. If we're bailing when 2 players drop we'll never start a game.
Grinding the micro $3.30 tonight. 1479 entrants - down to 5. I'm in 4th currently.
If you're not first, you're last...

I was grinding on a $50K and $40K GTD today (America's Cardroom) with this dude on both tables:
https://www.pocketfives.com/profiles/bfizz11/
He didn't do that well and I was also watching him on Twitch and thought his game was kind of weak.
But, he has pretty good stats at $3,739,345 total online winnings. Not bad, bro. I cashed in one event but had to join another $15K after that. Still in the $15K with a $2.4K 1st prize, but just trying to cash at the moment and starting up some Jack and Cokes ...
If I could just live off playing tourney poker, I would - lol - I tried in 2015... its just tough not to get burned out - balance in life is key.
I have a standing group going. Small stakes. DM for details.
I like the poker app. What about you? I used to play online poker and sometimes visit poker clubs. I spent a lot of money and time. My family suffered a lot. I wanted to stop, but I couldn't. But recently I found an alternative, this is a poker app score88poker.bid. Minimum investment and maximum win. I'm happy, and you can try it too!
Thank you lot this offer, i'm in!
Currently on the America's Cardroom $50K ($16.50) and the $25K ($6.60) and getting on the $40K ($16.50) at 3pm.

I have had 3 King high straight flushes, but never a Royal. Fucking rip/
I’ve gotten 3 royal flushes, but only got good equity on 1. The two others no one had anything and I basically made no chips on the hand. All in tournaments.
I’ve also had a full house and got beaten by a royal flush in an online tournament. That person got all my chips.
Haha rip. It be like that. I once made $100mil in fake money poker from $10k. I ended up losing it all tho; I made and lost it all by going all-in in fake money online.
I played a $20K GTD last night. Buy in was $16.50. Was 1401 entrants. Got 2nd for $1,880.84.
When I got to heads up, we were playing for the $2,987, but I started behind. He had maybe 4x my chip stack. He was not playing aggressively and then all of a sudden shoved all in and my blind was 1/8 my stack and I had KJ off and just shipped it. He had pocket deuces 22 and I didn’t hit so that was the game. I don’t really regret that call, I think I had 48% equity so was happy with my play, but sucks I didn’t get the $2,987. Cheers. 🍻
what platform do you play on
Today is my second day at attempting to get into the final day of a $1,000,000 GTD tournament.
I played one flight yesterday for $215 and had to survive 4 hours and made it to 3hrs until someone with 33 raised 6BB on my JJ and I shoved all in and they called and hit trips on the flop. Brutal.
So flight 1M starts at 5pm so I’ll probably drop another $215 to play and then there’s is also an 8:30pm flight 1N if I bust the 5pm game. This is my last available chance to play this week, but heard they were doing $1M tourneys for a few weeks.
1st is currently showing $163K, but will probably come down to $120K or something as more people qualify.
Qualified for Sunday - it says to all qualifiers that they placed 1st, but I only have a small stack left. So 5:05pm Sunday gonna play for a $1,000,000 prize pool. Get someeeee. It took me 4x $215 tickets to qualify. So happy I have a chance to play at the event of the week!
I’m playing in these two today.
Do you win a lot?
I made $1,900 yesterday. There is another $1,000,000 GTD this Sunday and I’m going to try to qualify again for it.
Last week was my first week playing high stakes.
double post
I'm in 122 of 965 right now in a $125K GTD and it feels great. I've been doing well since the beginning.

Heyyyyy yooooo it’s poker Sunday!
Currently getting into a $55 $200K GTD on America’s Cardroom at 2:30pm - sign up and come join! 5 hours late registration. Should be at least $20K for first place. You can deposit with a credit card.
Amex or Bitcoin deposits - no fee
Visa or Mastercard deposits - extra fee
Tourney: OSS #2L - Special $200K GTD
I’ve been really working on my game for the past 4 weeks and have developed not playing like such a nit at times and expanding my range when in position.
Interested to learn how
So how are you been working on your game? Or certain tutorials or YouTube videos that will be helpful?
I think I was being too much of a nit and need to be more flexible. I’ve been working on my game for 7 years.
Just okay a lot of hands for free first on Poker Stars and Full Tilt.
Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan
Playing a $125K GTD now and a $180K GTD starting at 5pm.
The second tournament is a 2 day tournament - this is the final day. There are 8453 entrants and I am in 179 of 733 remaining.
I would be down. I’m also curious what you guys use from a poker tutorial standpoint. I am quite the noob.

There is a $300K GTD coming up on ACR on Sunday February 13th at 3:05pm (Final Day). $55 entry, 1st place is probably $40K.
Here are the qualifying days to make it to the final day. Should be a good tourney! Cheers 🍻
Currently #1 in a $100K GTD flight and 58 of 101 in a $25K GTD... lezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
