As an incoming AN1 (GS/MS/JPM) we had a zoom call with the incoming interns and naturally we all connected after on LinkedIn. All had pretty normal profiles except for this one kid who I could tell was treating it almost as a social media platform. Anyway, it's been a couple months and I genuinely think this persons LinkedIn could be the reason they don't get a return offer. There is a deplorable amount of LinkedIn cringe (literal videos from social night outs, college mcq continuous assessment grades). They're posting at least twice a week. It's clear that the offer has gotten to their head and they have now made it a responsibility to showcase everything and anything they do on a daily basis but it is so unbelievably out of line with the professionalism standards on the app.
