MM private equity compensation

Hi what is average compensation like for a MM private equity fund at each role? and are there MM in Manhattan, I really hope to break into PE one day but realize the private equity interview process is tough...and would prefer to work in NYC? thanks

Dont quote me on this, but I believe that first year all in comp, dependent on the size of the fund, ranges to be around 90-100 base with a similar bonus. I would surmise that starting comp would be around 170-200k (roughly equivalent of BB associate), but again, I'm not 100% sure of this number.

I think that there are many great MM players in manhattan. If you're in this position right now, then congrats man. Best of luck to you, and hope that I can be your spot in a couple years.

There's a closer meaning to my user name. Try reading it quickly. Perhaps you will then understand ;P
