Amid the negative macroeconomic news, let's take an optimist’s perspective and focus on the path back from a recession. With the United States tentative to unleash an “inflation reduction” spending package of $433 billion (USD), a strategic focus has been given to the North American economic ecosystem as a whole. There now exists a promise to potentially pull both Canada and Mexico into revitalized natural resource and rare metal markets, plus revamped manufacturing and automotive supply chains. With a renewed White House agenda, the gears in the continental economy are hopefully starting to move. Once underway, assuming a formal recession is declared, what do the possible recovery paths look like?
