orfe 3.8 vs econ 3.9+
I go to an ivy, should I go for a 3.80+ in orfe or 3.9/3.95+ in econ for top IB groups.

Habibi congrats on Princeton either will be fine based on experience
thoughts?
Also depends on how smart you are and what you like. From what I've heard orfe requirements diverge from econ
Don't do orfe trust
Why
Lacks the rigor of a math degree. Lacks the quantitative skills of a physics degree. Lacks the algo knowledge of a computer science degree. I think it’s a combination of all of the above in terms of the skills I mentioned, but you really miss out on depth. In my year the orf majors who got into quant could’ve been cos or math majors based on the courses they took. If you’re into orf for quant then you’d be wise to supplement the orf curriculum with some of the key cos and math courses
ORFE is useless for traditional finance. Go econ unless you're interested in ORFE content or quant roles.
dont want to eliminate those opportunities yet, but should i be fine with IB recruiting for top groups with 3.8+ orfe? I want to give it an honest shot/am interested in the degree content.
