Normal wait time appears to be a couple of hours (from what was said on all the previous talks on the subject). I'd say if you don't hear back within a couple of days you are waitlisted. If you haven't heard back, you're in limbo and just have to wait.

Ok, I interviewed late on Friday and I was never given a time table but someone (not from the BB but from another one) told me that it's 5-7 business days usually, and that was not consistent with what I read on the forums. I know it's also later in the process which might mean more time.

If you are a top candidate, you will hear right away (at the latest one business day). If you are waiting, you are either a reject or on the waiting list. Don't expect a response if you are a reject though, we never make consolation calls.

Hmm, interesting stuff. I also had an "informational meeting" with a contact in the firm and he made it seem as though the time table was longer. I may have just misinterpreted it, and if I don't hear anything tomorrow I'll contact him.

Thank you for your advice/insight.

I got an offer before the day was over at the final round, which was then followed by a phone call about an hour after I left, and the contract by courier arrived the next day.

I'm a non-target and they even said that since the class is pretty full I might have to wait. You all aren't giving me much hope, but I'd rather have honesty. Thanks everyone. I put in a call so we'll see how it turns out.

I spoke with my contact, they are still processing and I interviewed a bit later so turn around time is slightly different. Good to know I'm still in the running. Thank you all for the advice, without your comments I probably would've just waited or pursued another opportunity.

hello, are you guys here talking about offers for internships or full-time or experienced hire? I've just finished 3rd round interview with GS as a research analyst and I was told that I'll not be surprised if there are few more interviews coming. Is it normal that there are so many rounds of interviews b4 they really make the final decision?

I'm assuming everyone knows you're talking SA at this time of year.

It doesn't really matter though.

Hey, I was in your position, interviewed at a BB on a Friday, was called the next Thursday and told they were waiting on some other offers and I should hear back within a week or two and this Wednesday got called with an offer.

They did tell me if I have an exploding offer to contact them and let them know, so if you have one of those you are thinking about I would def do that.

If you interviewed a month ago and they told u to keep in touch about other offers and then they finally called you a month later to tell you no? Does that mean you were on the waiting list, to see if the offers they gave out were accepted before they wanted to pursue you further or you cannot make that assumption?
