Investment banking analyst at a 25-27 yo

If u get to do an msc with a bachelor majoring in finance and minor in accounting at a top school in europe like (ESADE/ HEC EDHEC BOCCONI..) when you're 25-27

Could you still get an analyst position knowing that you're not European and that you speak 5 languages

(Arabic french English spanish and german)

Yeah definitely possible

The key is speaking European languages (fluently/native). Banks care more about this than having a European nationality.

Regarding the age, it's perfectly fine. I'm currently a 24 y.o. SA in London. The mean age in my cohort is 22/23. Half of the intern class are MSc students whose age range goes from 22-26. The other half are UK undergrads whose age range goes from 19-21

Do you notice a significant difference in the level of skill amongst the 19/20 year olds from the UK and the European MSc students?

I was recently at our SA induction and 1/3 of IB was Spring Week converters and the other 2/3 were MSc Finance Europeans (all 23+).

Having conversations with the two was like apples and oranges. Is there an apparent skill gap between the two in your class?

Well the European MSc students usually would’ve done some off-cycle internships in their gap year etc whereas the UK undergrads would be in their 2/3rd year of uni with not that much prior experience

French is bilingual , spanish is going to be perfect if I study at ESADE and get to practice it often

And arabic is my native language
