Does anyone know of any super high-profile carve-outs and spinoffs that I can read about and educate myself on? Would appreciate anything, ones that created value for both, destroyed value for both, and helped one stock price and hurt the other. Thanks in advance!

Longboard Pharma spin out of Arena Pharma is a success story. A lot of big pharma's have split off their consumer healthcare units, googling should help you find those.

Also Apollo seems to be rly into carveouts lately - bid for paramounts studio business and just carved out credit suisse securitized products business today
