How is GS (London) IBD set up?
I have an important interview at GS for IBD next week, and I'm not too sure how the IBD is set up. On GS' website under "How We’re Organized" there's a bullet point for M&A and one for classic IBD.
Does this mean if you're part of the M&A team you're advising on all M&A transactions irrespective of the sector (Consumer, TMT, Healthcare etc.)? Likewise, if you're part of classic IBD (which they say is structured by industry groups (Consumer, TMT, Healthcare)), does this mean if you're part of TMT Classic you only do DCM and ECM for TMT?
I'm really interested in both TMT and M&A tbh.
