GPA for EB
What is the gpa cutoff for EBs (CVP/PWP/EVR) for non-diversity males from semi-target schools. Will my 3.8x hold me back?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the GPA cut-off for elite boutique firms (EBs) like Centerview Partners (CVP), Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP), and Evercore (EVR) is typically around 3.5. However, it's important to note that this is not a hard and fast rule.
Your GPA of 3.8 is actually quite competitive and should not hold you back at all. In fact, it's above the mentioned cut-off and should help you stand out among other candidates. Remember, while GPA is an important factor, it's not the only thing that firms look at. They also consider your internship experiences, leadership roles, and how well you perform in interviews.
So, keep up the good work, and don't forget to network! It's a great way to get your foot in the door and increase your chances of landing an interview. Good luck!

Had a 3.3 and made it to EB. Non-div, non-target, non-nepo male.
how the hell did you pull that off? care to give details?
Definitely networking
Networked my ass off for over 6 months. Nailed technicals and made good impressions.
The guy above is a anomaly. Shoot for 3.85+
Round that to a 3.9 or just leave it?
You're goddamn right I am.
You must have had the personality of a golden retriever. Good shit
Lol nice
Of my friends, the lowest was a 3.7 at my target that went to your typical PWP, LAZ, MoCo, etc
R u recruiting for FT?
What would be a good gpa for ft
Think 3.8 is fine but the mode at EBs is definitely 4.0
4.0? Bruh.
If you network heavily and nail down your technical skills - i.e. actually understand concepts and can think critically (not just regurgitate methods of valuation) then you’ll be fine. Key is to have one/two people you are close with at each bank and network with everyone else as much as possible. Cast a wide net and you’ll get a job
I’d say probably over a 3.8 if ur non diverse. Below that and non diverse, you need to be a superstar.
Only thing that you can do is pray to Allah and maybe you will receive the job.
there’s a gaza war joke to be made here somewhere…just can’t find it
Guess you bombed it then
Is a mid 3.8x in a double major (Econ and math) good enough?
3.5 GPA and I am at one of those 3 and received an offer from another one of those 3 and have MF PE lined up.
GPA gets you in the door but it’s all about your ability to close
I am also non diversity, semi-target
Can you PM me? Would love to get some advice based on your experience
div at a non-target, got SA offer with a 3.67 ish. take that for what's it's worth, non-div needs 3.7+
3.8+. After that its all the same more or less. Just be cool and you’ll get an offer.
Non-div non-target incoming SA at one of the EBs you mentioned, recruited with a 3.7
