Both do origination. They work on the same deals together, have the same staffer, the same responsiblities etc. The only difference is literally the location

Did my analyst years there..if the question is between levfin and coverage .. then go with coverage… if it between nyc vs charlotte.. choose NYC

Teams may work on the same deals but believe me market perception for exit better in nyc for either teams… levfin is kinda dead now… with current fed thought process don’t see any upside for the next 12 months atleast

That's what I've heard but the best way to get into private credit is through levfin and bofa is one of the best out there. I just wanted to know if the location makes a big difference in recruiting

From what I understand, being in nyc has the best opportunities since nyc has the most exits, nyc PE/HF dont bother recruiting outside of nyc

However, what if your not wanting a nyc exit? I don't see being outside of nyc affecting you heavily if your gunning for a exit outside of nyc anyway. Maybe I'm wrong?

I see your point, and I don’t mean to push you, think of the it this way you have more choices with NYC, can do it here or somewhere else, with charlotte you don’t have that many choices - not a strict rule, just saying - anyway all of this conjecture is assuming the market and the economy holds up .. in case neither god help us
