Atar for IB
Doe your ATAR score ever matter when applying to investment banks such as Goldman or JP, in Australia. Or is it primarily your uni WAM and extra curriculars

Career Resources
Most banks have a minimum of 95-98. All though most candidates that get considered for these roles are in degrees that require 99+ Atars. This is only a requirement though, most dont care what you did in high school, wam is also a minimum type situation (mostly distinction). If you want one of these roles go for experience, extra curriculars, ect, build a good resume for these roles.
I don’t know any degrees other than medicine that require a 99+ atar? What are some examples of those please.
Law at Sydney; the number 1 degree of investment banking, Co-op at UNSW (its unofficial but almost all that win it are 99+), UQ's advanced finance all are 99+, the fact that you do not know this and are asking about investment banking in Australia, a topic talked to to death on this forum and many others shows a lack of research
Thanks for the info :)
You must be on a different application… Australia is rarely talked about on WSO, especially IB in Australia. Give the kid a break
