I am also curious about this.
do ibanks even recruit at wustl?
yes they do
hahaha
Oh I saw in another thread you are going to work at CIBC. That explains it. What other banks recruit at wustl though, I know BoA does
goldman, lehman, Blackstone, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, merril lynch, i don't know man, all of them, hahaha, what a retarded question, can you stop posting

I'd be highly surprised if that was the case, is this a recent development?
I know for a fact that as of last year, Blackstone only recruits at about 7-8 schools and WUSTL isn't one of them..
1) Harvard 2) Penn 3) Virginia 4) Texas
are the 4 I remember
Northwestern and U chicago are targeted as well
Dartmouth and Pton to that list.
I know for a fact that Blackstone does not recruit at dartmouth, except for operations, etc. positions.
ahh yes, I remember Princeton too, didn't know about dart.
I really can't tell you statistics on who recruits where, all I know is my friends that have gotten jobs there. In any case, the question is what do you think bonus ranges will be for this year's analyst class? I am still curious, but no one has really answered.
in my 100+ analyst class last summer 0 were from WUSTL
My friend went there, they have a trip to NYC every fall so that the seniors can apply to jobs, because barely any Wall Street recruiters come to campus.
I think a few banks come to WuSTL. I know JPMorgan, Citi, Wachovia, Bear, Goldman, Lehman come to Emory. So im sure they get a few of these names as well. No Blackstone though for sure.
no offense
Blackstone recruits at dartmouth. they recruit for summer and for the other terms since dartmouth runs on the d-plan.
all the banks he mentioned do come, but recruit for IT, operations etc. I knew a few kids from wash u at st l in lehman this summer in IT.
Back to the point at hand - analyst bonus range?
i think that really too high. probably will be the same as this year if not less. bonuses can't increase like they have recently forever. it will be really funny for the kids who are in the down year class, expecting like 80-100k based upon silly message board info and then getting hoodwinked at 50k. its a cyclical industry and right now we are probably at its peak.
Blackstone posts at more than 8 schools... the firm has hired full timers from at least 15 diff schools... If you go to a decent school and have a high GPA, work experience, they will interview you...
Summer is a different story, 19 interns all from 1. HARVARD, 2. WHARTON, 3. UVA, and 4. COLUMBIA.
I don't see why Columbia and UVA though...
sure Blackstone recruits at dartmouth for front office positions; more specifically the portfolio management team and product/client relations.
When you guys say texas...do you mean UT Austin or Texas A&M
UT Austin
have any thoughts on the original question?
Hahahaha. Epic. 4 year thread bump.
80-100? FML why was I born so late
