Dress Pants Recommendations for Guys with Big Quads

Does anyone have any recommendations on dress pants for guys with big quads, I'm talking "thunder thigh" big. I'm a size 36Wx34L. But 95% of the dress pants I try on are too tight in the thighs, resulting in me having to size up to a 38W or 40W, making the pants look baggy or "scrunched up".

I recently copped the bowery pants from j-crew and they're a great pair - went up a waist size to give me a little more room in the thigh and the fit was perfect - got lots of compliments on them

stay away from suitsupply.  you have to have like the build of a 14 year old to fit in most their stuff.  anyone who played contact sports may have issues with it

for me, bonobos dress pants (get the 100% wool ones that are like 200 bucks), in the athletic fit work great.

j crew also has a "classic fit" that works great.

Second this but depending on your budget - could try their custom stuff. Only way I could get a fit and experience was generally good. But OTR definitely much better choices, I’ve found State & Liberty makes some decent stuff and their gear is designed for bigger gents. Their 36W fits my leg decently IIRC

Have like a 35W and SS’s 40s were still a bit tight in the quads, and only so much waist you can take in before the back pockets kiss

Have also been dealing with this issue for the past few years. Started destroying legs during the pandemic and now pants shopping is very discouraging. Normal pants are just painted on and it sucks. I have 27-28 inch quads with a 32-33 inch waist for reference.

As a cheaper option, the banana republic athletic cut is pretty solid. I have a few pairs of these and cycle throughout the week and it’s working for now. I can second that anything suit supply is just a non-starter. Their shit is just so damn tight if you have ever picked up a weight in your life. Going to give the bonobos pants a shot. This is a valuable thread for us thicc bois, keep it going.
