What are average hours for Associates at middle market credit shops like Golub, Monroe, GS BDC? Average comp would be great too, for all levels from associate to MD.

Based on convos with friends:
Comp will be slightly lower than comp for PE of similar fund size, but hours will be better by about the same proportion. That difference probably widens as you get more senior though. The work is a little more vanilla and you lean on the sponsor DD efforts a lot but on the whole not a bad place to be.
Thanks for the insight. Do you have any insight or stats on comp at the associate level? How much lower than a typical PE firm of the same size would you say?
Expect somewhere around $150k-$200k in a major city assuming 2 years of IB experience. Maybe higher for huge funds.
Makes sense I know Ares and GSO are ~$225-$250 for first year associates, I’ve heard Golub pays analysts $180 and same with Varagon, $150-$200 seems a bit low but would definitely make sense for shops with
