Which Management Consulting Firms are worth pursuing for FT offer?

I am preparing for full-time recruiting and do not know which firms to prioritize. Should I shoot for MBB or second-tier management consulting firms like EYP, Strategy&, etc..? Where should I direct my time and energy for networking and preparation?

Stats:

Rising senior at a top 10 undergrad program (target)

3.7 GPA

Captain of a varsity sports team

Solid internship experience in finance and business/marketing strategy (non-consulting)

I say if you're crunched for time, network with your top 5 firms. Try to focus on firms that value networking more, as firms like McKinsey are less focused on networking and more focused on your credentials. So make sure your time is being put to good use.

But when it comes to applying, I would apply to every firm just to give yourself the best chances possible on ensuring you land something. It's better to spend the extra time to interview as many places as you can, get 2-3 offers and decide after than for you to focus on a few firms and come up empty-handed.

Wishing you the best - good luck!
