I want to move into CorpDev, M&A deals. Is Allianz Global Investors - Strategic Development - a good fit?

My mid-long term goal is to move into CorpDev/M&A team in industry. At this stage of networking, I have been in touch with people from Allianz Global Investors, and I am thinking if I should reach out to more people within this company, especially in the area of corporate strategy. What do you all think of the company and the prospects of moving from strategy development in asset mgmt to M&A in the future?
