Following. I've heard great things but that's more through friends of a guy that works there, so I can't opine too much. I will say they work on cool projects. Toured their deal "Camber" in SLC and i must say i was very impressed.
I know a couple of people there and they are smart, hard working, nice people.
The firm has a very good reputation.
Likewise, I know a few people on their team and would echo the above. They have a good reputation in Texas. Can't speak much about the day to day of company culture.
My most recent understanding is they are going through a slow, painful, but deliberate process of institutionalizing. So transitioning from a middle sized firm that relies heavily on HNW, UHNW, FO type capital to a larger firm that's focused on raising capital from institutional investors. Requires a lot of growth in a short period of time and lots of 'standing up' internal infrastructure that would be required by larger, repeat LPs.
That's not intended to scare anyone away. Just highlight they're a growing firm that's well known in Texas and I expect them to keep growing and have a more national platform over time.
Very well regarded firm in Texas. On the multifamily development side, they have figured out a good program with the workforce Citizen House product. One of the few groups that designs and builds to a basis that they can capitalize. Only concern is how heavy they are in the Austin MSA, but have strong track record of success there.
