How Specific Do You Have To Be To Headhunters?
For example, lets say I want tech PE.
Is it better to be super detailed like "Upper-middle-market private equity firms in California that focus on industry-specific SaaS companies within tech” or would "UMM tech PE in the west coast" be fine?
Advice/your personal experience would be appreciated.

depends on your situation. High specificity = lower speed of move and vice versa. If you’re stable where you are, and know what you want, then don’t rush and go highly specific

maybe try writing a more thoughtful question? “Is it better to do x or y” without giving and sense for “better” criteria is useless…
I meant would headhunters prefer one or the other
that’s still an incredibly unthoughtful question…lol
