Looking to land a job in IB in Latam with no related experience.
For context, I am a 27 year old accountant, have experience in audit, accounting and operations with clients. I graduated 4 years ago.
I am looking to land a job in IB in Peru. I have no clue on where to search or how to network.
Any help would be appreciated.
Well can you talk to people?
LinkedIn to find people working in Peruvian offices (I assume you only have Lima for IB). As for firm finding, try Google first or MergerMarket rankings; you can find the most active advisers by geography (including LatAm) and see which have Lima offices
Thank you. Do I have to wait for a recruitment season or are there other possibilities? Any tips that you can provide?
For regional BB or MM offices I am not sure but I image that they would follow some form of recruiting season. Most other places are regional boutiques and most likely hire on a rolling basis. For the latter, best thing to do is check their careers sections or email and ask.
