I know the saying of “no brown in town” in the UK but does that not apply for NYC? I live in NYC and have heard people say you should not wear black shoes with a navy suit. Is it ok to wear black shoes with a navy suit? Have heard conflicting opinions, and not really sure what the standard is. Always thought black looks better with navy.
