Which Sophomore Internship Will Set Me Up Best To Recruit For ER
Background: Freshman Year interned at AT&T in corporate finance, will hopefully have a 3.6-3.7 come spring recruiting season. Go to a nontarget, but good school with alumni in research at every bank.
I have a few offers for my sophomore summer:
Amazon - would be in their business unit in Seattle (I live on the east coast). 65k pro-rated
(700b+ WM firm) Fixed income investment analyst 70k pro-rated + fat sign-on bonus
Return to AT&T - Boring and didn't like my time here + only 19/hr
Which would give me the best opportunity to recruit for ER. I was targeting ER internships but unfortunately, I was not able to land one. Would the fixed-income internship be my best option? Although its fixed income, it should give me a set of skills in data analysis that I can market in ER interviews. The only problem is I don't like fixed income and I'm not sure if switching equity classes could be more challenging than just taking the amazon gig. I just happened to nail the all technicals in the interview because I just had an exam on it in a class.
Thanks!
