Lateral from C1 D.C. BA internship to MBB D.C. FT?

Hey all,

Is it possible or even probable for Capital One BA interns in the McLane office to lateral into MBB FT in D.C.? I'm from a southern non-target: do you need to be a VA target/ivy student to be considered for D.C. MBB?

Yeah definitely possible, people who don't return usually make similar moves. I wouldn't say that internship location really matters either in this regard, C1 BA intern from Chicago, Dallas, McLean, etc. are all good resume profiles. That said this past cycle we had the highest internship return-offer acceptance rate since program started in 2008 and I assume consulting layoffs & decreased hiring class sizes are part of it. MBB application FT process starts a fair bit before you would have to respond to the C1 return offer deadline, so I would just make sure to get your app in early so you have options/a fallback.

Very possible, seen a lot do it as well. Would think about whether or not you'd take C1 over T2 consulting, because FT looks to be pretty competitive again and you're going to want to hedge bets with more firms
