How does Morgan Stanley SA group placement work?

I'll be doing a summer analyst gig at Morgan Stanley, and I was hoping that some of you could help enlighten me with respect to how group placement works behind the scenes. Last week, I sent HR my top three choices, and like a champ I told them: 1. M&A 2. Sponsors 3. Real Estate.

Question about FT interviews

Although my work experience is solid (I've won numerous awards and scholarships, recieved great feedback, ect), I'm not sure that I can remember much about my roles from two or three summers ago. Thus, I was wondering how well we need to know every bit of detail about the jobs that our on our resume.
