Dietary Supplements

Seeing that bankers work ridiculously long hours,I find that I don't ever get the sufficient Vitamins my body needs, since I'm always at the office, and it's starting to affect my mental agility. Do any of you have experience with supplements, is it safe to take? If so, which do you recommend

Traders Vs. Bankers!

This is an old question, but with a new twist. Since asking people "Which one is better, Investment bankers or traders", I'm goin to ask something harder, which is better Sales Or Trading, which is the best group (I know this varies)at your bank? Is It Mergers & Acquistions, a specific Industry group, etc... And if you can, weigh in on the debate of traders versus bankers.

Goldman Sachs Bankers

I am currently a sophomore in college and plan to go into Investment Banking. I've always wanted to work for Goldman Sachs. If anyone would like to "come out of the closet," I would really appreciate it. I've just got a few questions regarding admission, culture, lifestyle, etc...

Thank you.

Letters of a boutique banker.

Hi, Im an investment banker in Toronto, for a Boutique Investment bank. I graduated form a Canadian Target School, I interviewed for positions both in Toronto and in New York City. I interviewed for Goldman Sachs,RBC Capital Markets, CIBC, Morgan Stanley, Merill Lynch NY, and Merill Lynch TO, and a whole bunch of other firms. Long story short, I got a few offers from a few boutiques, and a few prop shops. Long story short, I have to ask, does coming from a boutique hinder my chances at an NYC BB or comparable Hedge Fund or PE firm?

Ohhh Yaaaa!

Have any of you "bankers" heard of Russell Oliver? People in NYC might have never heard of him, but in Canada, he has quite a cult following. In Canada, he is one of the wealthiest people in Canada, due to the Communist Tax rates... He is the owner of Oliver's Jewellers, a piece of $hit Jewellery buyer. I hate him, if you go to his Youtube page, you'll understand why....

Check out his youtube channel:

Curious to where everyone else went to school? Both Undergrad and MBA.

In addition, how does the Investment Banking world look at UC Berkeley Haas for both undergrad and MBA?

Thanks!

Investment Banking Student - Seeking Guidance (Yes, another)

Firstly before I am scolded for creating yet another "perspective Investment Banker student" post, I did search the forum and did not find anything specific enough that relates to my current educational and work expertise position…

With this said, I am a sophomore at a local community college in the Bay Area with plans to transfer to UCB Haas School of Business (chances look pretty high) next summer for my junior and senior year.

I've read all about Investment Banking, went in to interview an investment banker and have family in similar fields; I have seeked guidance from them but I thought it would not hurt getting a few more opinions and suggestions.

Good Idea to Jump into PE ???

My concerns include the skills acquired at the analyst level, the exit opportunities, and the future of the industry.

If an undergraduate were able to secure an analyst position at a MM PE, would this be a great opportunity for the individual to acquire valuation skills, be involved in client interaction, and possibly open opportunities in the future?
