Regional VP/External Sales Specialist, Southeast

The Position:
Responsible for proprietary Individual Life and Long Term Care sales within the Southeast United States territory by developing and implementing sales promotions, services and training.

Visits each office on a regular basis to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with Financial Advisors.

Works closely and partners with Internal Sales Specialists to ensure consistent sales messages are presented.

Develops sales ideas, presentations or concepts for product positioning.

Works to expand market share with additional distribution partners.

Conducts sales promotion presentations and training.

Identifies and initiates services to facilitate sales of Life Insurance products.

Prepares and manages travel and expense budgets effectively.

Maintains detailed database and provides quarterly updates on sales results.

What is Required
Life & LTC Insurance Wholesaling experience

Strong understanding of the life insurance and financial planning industry, including understanding of competitive products and issues, and the ability to apply this knowledge to successfully position the company in the marketplace.

Ability to travel 60 - 70% of the time

Demonstrated sales experience and a history of strong results in the Individual sales industry. Ability to drive business on a consistent basis.

Excellent communication and human relation skills to develop and maintain successful relationships with Field Advisors, Managing Partners and Home Office associates.

Outstanding presentation skills to successfully deliver training to internal and external customers.
Creativity and analytical/problem-solving skills to develop and implement effective services and to coach Advisors in a variety of situations.

Strong initiative and self-management skills to independently manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

NASD/FINRA licenses 6 or 7, 63 and life/health. In addition to NASD/FINRA exams, fingerprinting and background checks are conducted.

Understanding of Advanced Sales concepts.
