Time from Associate to VP at EBs (EVR, PJT, LAZ)

How many years does one typically spend at the Associate level before making VP? How does this differ depending on intake (e.g., post-MBA, lateral from non IBD)?I have heard ranges from 3 to 4 years and seen Linkedin promotions anywhere from 10 months to 1.5-3.5 years. Wondering how much tenure credit you get and negotiation around that.
