Manchester United Takeover - Are the Qatari 92 Foundation Winning?

Hi all,

I'm of course a fan of the club, and recently came across the news that Manchester United have entered an exclusivity period, only considering the current Qatari (aka 92 Foundation) bid for approximately $6bn (Reuters reported).

Further, the 92 Foundation has just been set up on companies house which has been trending. From experience, I know they can either approve it instantly or over a few business days as a UK citizen, but could be different for internationals.

Despite this, an editor at the Daily Mail, Mike Keegan, has reported this is just simply a part of the standard process which each bidder has to adhere to, so it shouldn't necessarily be anything interesting.

Anyone who is more experienced, would appreciate any thoughts on how to interpret these pieces of news?

Thank you!
