Is a nice WFH setup still necessary?

Just curious on the above. Do you guys find that you take work at home at times at your banks? I was wondering if I should spend a little bit to have a nice setup at home if there is weekend/late night work that comes up. This was a concern during the Covid era but not sure how things are looking right now.

I just got a really nice monitor and was planning on upgrading my setup - even though I just got this thing I just realized working on a laptop screen vs. an ultra wide is a massive fucking difference. So might want to get a few accompanying stuff - a separate monitor, webcam and accessories.

Additionally, does anyone here use a keyboard with macros? Like, take Logitech with it's G1, G2 etc. buttons. Feel like it could come in really handy if you set a few macros on those and make work a lot more smoother for both Excel & PPT.

I am currently ripping a triple 27-inch monitor setup with a corsair keyboard and Logitech mouse. My bank is 3 days in office so I work quite a bit from home. Combined with upgraded internet, my setup at home is actually worlds better than my office setup. I have timed myself in office vs at home on various tasks and I’m about 2.5x faster at the home setup. Third monitor changes the game

One thing about the macro keyboards is more often than not banks will prohibit you from downloading the Logitech software needed to get those functioning. Most guys buy them and return them (unless they like the feel)

I have dual 27-inch monitors right now, and the screen real estate is amazing. How does a third monitor "change the game"? How do you stack it - all landscape, and stacked like a christmas tree, or landscape but all side by side?

Third monitor allows me to have one monitor dedicated to email, teams, and PDFs

If I get comments I can pull them up on the third monitor and open PowerPoint on the other and excel/google on the last one. It eliminates needing to switch tabs. It keeps everything open which eliminates a lot of errors.
