Helping A Graduate

Hello!

I am new to the WSO community and I look forward to learning and interacting with all members of this Troop. At the moment I am in the process of receiving a graduate Visa to work in the USA, this will enable me to further achieve my goal of working on Wall Street. I am from Ireland and opportunities for working and gaining front office exposure are quite limited, as the only reason BB's come to Ireland is to avail of the incredibly low corporation tax and set up financial services offices focused on mid and back office operations.

This Visa allows me to take an internship position in a field relevant to my degree (Economics). However being from Ireland and attending an Irish university means I have not attended a target college of any BB's and also without any connections on Wall Street. However what I do have is an insatiable appetite to learn about financial markets and also a very good understanding of quantitative methods. I am an avid follower of Value Investing ever since I read the Intelligent Investor when I was 18 and I endeavour to keep up with trends and various equites that may become value trades.

I do not wish to take any more of your time with my introduction, however if anyone reading this has any advice or knowledge they wish to share with I would be very appreciative.
