Graduate Schools for Wall Street (non-MBA)
I need some advice here! I was gonna work at a decent bank in APAC but it seems like the the company has some concerns over my mobility to work rn (apparently, I got fucked up by the pandemic). So I’m probably not gonna secure the summer job (lost my last hope for getting a return offer as well). I was also planing to use this internship experience to write a decent essay for a top graduate school and it seemed like I got fucked up again. Since I lost my chance to get a job right after college, I’m still looking forward to breaking into a good master degree from a top university (it’s a low risk plan under the current situation). I’m looking for a master in finance or master of science in finance or anything related to business in general. My only requirement for these programs is to increase my chance to land a job offer from an IB (not sure they’re gonna help, so pls persuade me not to waste my time). I did some research but not sure how the “bankers” think.
I know that MIT has a pretty good MFin program but I don’t think I’m gonna get in without this internship.
This is my list (not numerically ranked):
1. Cornell master AEM
2. NYU MS in financial math
3. Columbia Master of accounting and fundamental analysis
4. UC MS in financial math
5. Others like Vanderbilt or BC
Can someone tell me if these programs are solid and reputable on WS? If not, what are my other choices? (have a feeling that none of these are gonna help......)
