DC Advisory Restructuring
Hey Monkeys,
What is DC Advisory's reputation in London for Restructuring? They've poached a lot of seniors from HL/PJT/Moelis and are always in Top 5 for market share in EMEA.
Not read much about DC RX on WSO so perhaps that answers my question, what's the reputation on the street?
Where'd you see that they were in the top 5 EMEA market share?
Debtwire and Refinitive, but this was for 2022.
Do you know DC restructuring? Is it good?
Curious as well, as at least in the US, haven't seen them on any deals in the RX space.
They unwound restructuring in the US and have moved it all to EMEA out of London pretty much

Unsure on reputation but know that they've pivoted heavily in terms of hiring to Debt Advisory & Restructuring during the M&A downturn, probably leveraging PE connections to help restructure PortCos as they do most of their M&A work with PE companies

Comp v good but they’re struggling at this point to win mandates given their reputation. Made some big hires as you said but still aren’t winning jobs yet
OK thanks. Surprised at the comp, been reading a few posts that they pay below street. Sounds like if I can break into RX IB, then it's not a bad move. Waiting to hear back on a final round, their modeling test was the hardest I've come across, quite nuanced.

I think that Debt Advisory/Restructuring and Infra have higher salaries than other groups
