Are there any (continental) Europeans in the US?

I was wondering how many people working in IBD/M&A as a (summer) analyst in NYC are from Europe (ex UK). My guess is that everybody is from the US/Canada, it is probably even more true for places like SF/LA etc. I am asking since it seems to me that it is nearly impossible to break into banking in the US unless you are actually from there or attend a US school. I know that London seems like a more viable alternative, even HK/Singapore tend to be more open to foreigners.

Being from india i know many indians working in IBD in NYC....most of them MBAs from Harvard,Wharton and other top schools who graduated in good times... but right now it surely sucks and many are not getting any finance offers leave alone IBD...
