Adult Students

I've always wondered about this because "adult students" are becoming more common these days. Do job recruiters at BB/IB, companies in general or business schools look at the age someone gets their BA/BS degree?. Let's say someone goes to college after high school, drops out after 3 years of college because of poor grades, and then goes to college again the traditional way and not online at the age of 25 and gets their degree at a respectable school with good grades when they're 28.

How will job recruiters at these IB view this? Same thing goes for Business Grad Schools. Would they be hesitant in recruiting someone like this because of their age and their past? Would the poor grades for those years come back to haunt them?

In terms of age, it is harder to get a junior level job at an older age. Recruiters realize that with age comes responsibility and if they need someone to work 100 hours a week, they don't want that person to also be juggling a personal life (wife, kids, etc.)

hmm interesting so if a 22 yr old junior/senior in college goes in for a interview and says he's married but is willing to take on the responsibility, good chance he'll be dinged?-that logic makes no sense in my opinion

Also investment bankers work 70-100 hours/week.

I thought the poor grades would be more of a reason.

Also, what about companies in general(that don't have the IB type working hours) or business schools?
