U Chicago Msf (Booth, new program) - worth it?

U Chicago (Booth) is launching a 15 month Master in Finance that costs ~$115,000 in tuition, starting this year. Longer timeline allows for a SA position in the middle.

As a Canadian (international but can get TN Visa, still not sure how much that helps me in 2024+) graduating from a UK semi target in 2025 with multiple no-name boutique IB/PE internships, any thoughts on this as an option for me? Will likely do a Master of Finance somewhere in UK/EU regardless if not the US, I like the idea of taking a top target MBA's Msf (similar to MIT in prestige?) that has SA mixed in, but the price tag is HUGE. Even with assumed scholarships being given in its first few years (25-50%) it's still a massive cost. I want to be in the US long term but can always pivot later with an MBA but would take a chance for the US now if its a strong enough one.

Thoughts on the program? Too much of a gamble? How much does my status as a Canadian hurt me in (what will be) 2026 SA US recruiting?
