Very confused rising sophomore needs direction

Hello,

I am a rising sophomore transfer with a 3.85 at the University of Chicago studying ECON and CS

I want to do IB, but truth be told I am very confused. No one in my family or friend circle has ever worked in finance.

Long story short I have no clue what do for recruiting next Spring.

I have next to no finance experience and was not in any related clubs at school the past year where I was a freshman.

I know I'm probably going to get to told this is not the right attitude approaching this career, but is it unreasonable for me to try and put together a resume for spring recruiting, or should I look else where in terms of career direction.

I am not super passionate about IB (don't hate it), but honestly would rather not break my back for next spring if my chances are slim to none given my lack of experience.

What do I need on my resume to have a solid shot at NY BB in this economy?

Thanks so much!
