How do I present multiple roles at the same extracurricular activity?
Right now, how I structure my resume for my Chess extracurricular is:
Chess
Captain
- Captain of local chess club, associated responsibilities in recruitment, training, logistics etc. (Note: Separate from my university chess club)
- Titled Player (FM), competed at various regional tournaments
- Varsity Representative, various collegiate tournament placings
I'm not sure how I should structure this extracurricular. Right now, my last bullet point is combining a position and results. Was thinking of formatting the extracurricular in this manner to better align with the STAR format:
Chess
Captain, Varsity Representative
- Captain of local chess club, associated responsibilities in recruitment, training, logistics etc. (Note: Separate from my university chess club)
- Titled Player (FM), competed at various regional tournaments
- Various collegiate tournament placings
Would it be acceptable to list multiple positions in the position line? Most resumes I see simply have one position there, which is why I'm hesitant on putting both my captaincy and my varsity position.
Essentially, I'm asking if the current format or the other format would be better. Would appreciate input on structuring my resume.
