Ares Real Estate
Saw a few postings for positions on Ares Real Estate team. They posted positions across Originations, DCM, and AM. Any insight into the team; hours, comp, etc?
EDIT: To clarify, this is obviously a highly reputable firm that I would not think twice about accepting an offer from. So things like comp and hours IDGAF and actually want to know more about the Hiring/Interview Process, technicals, real estate specific questions... Anything helps!
Also interested.
Let's face it. You're going to accept the offer if you get one irrespective of what people tell you. I'd even assume you've probably already applied? What is going to be said that will change your mind.
yea these posts are pretty comical NGL. What is OP expecting? "They eat babies?"
I completely agree that I would 100% accept an offer if I received one. Not and end all be all post that will change an offer decision (if that happens). Posted to get a more general idea of the firm and hopefully facilitate discussion on anything from the interview process to teams culture.
Just my 2 cents, but nothing wrong with trying to do a bit of diligence on your potential employers ahead of time. Know it's a tough job market right now, but approaching recruiting with the mindset that you'll just accept anything that comes your way is a pretty good way to end up in a job you hate.
Ares is a great firm, but you also need to consider your specific team? office? role? Also career goals and preferences. I don't know much about specifics regarding Ares, but believe they have a separate equity and debt team, and they also have a team that only does industrials (I think based out of a different office / not LA or NYC). Could be totally wrong so feel free to correct.
Did you apply? Following for any updates!
Anyone know which recruiters are working this?
Where is the guy who commented on the last thread. You know the..."Guys I have a date with Dua Lip, should i fuck her?", guy
Would like to know if anyone has heard anything. I applied a few weeks back with an employee reference and strong experience but have yet to get a response
Welcome to the real world and this market
Which group? Originations, DCM, or AM?
DCM
Anyone heard anything back on the DCM role?
.
Curious to hear if anyone has insights on the culture at Ares RE. Obviously pay is high so would expect pretty long hours? Anyone have experience working with them?
I heard it’s brutal hours in London. Assume the same or even worse situation in NYC
Has anyone heard back regarding debt originitations?
Can anyone confirm comp for this role?
PM
So it sounds like we’re all just applying for the same roles here, huh?
