Drawn out processes in Toronto?

Anyone else noticed that lots of employers right now are drawing out processes? There are postings for the same job over a span of 3 to 4 months but never fill in the role.

For instance, I heard the Power and utilities team at Scotiabank Toronto is still doing first and second round interviews (after sending out first rounds in early April). Seems like banks right now are interviewing the entire street, and being super selective on hiring. Anyone else having the same experience? Seems like there’s a power switch right now from the employee to the employer.

All processes I’ve been involved in have been the same. Seems like Scotia took a page out of Desjardins’ book, they also interviewed everyone on the street and didn’t hire

A couple of nepo processes were wrapped in a week or two.

Everything is just a game.

Heard some of the CIBC listings were already filled when they went up, but I'm not sure how true this is.
